1. Data Processing Activity:

We log IP addresses.

However, we do not use cookies for tracking or analytics; instead, we provide content based solely on your inputs.

2. Purposes of Processing:

Logging IP addresses helps maintain website integrity and security by identifying and preventing malicious activities.

3. Legal Basis for Processing:

Primarily, we process IP addresses for security reasons, based on our legitimate interest in protecting our website and data as per Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Again, we may also process data based on your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR if you would like to exercise your right to access your logged IP address. In addition, we may process your personal data if we are instructed to do so by a competent court under Article 6(1)(c).

4. Legitimate Interests Pursued:

Our goal is to keep the website running by maintaining website integrity, and security, and preventing abuse.

5. Security:

We implement security measures to protect your IP addresses from unlawful access or damage. Your IP addresses are encrypted during any subsequent transfer.

6. Data Recipients:

Only authorized website personnel can access your IP address for security and maintenance purposes.

7. Data Transfers:

IP addresses may be transferred to Microsoft servers, but we ensure GDPR compliance for data protection.

8. Storage Limitation:

We keep IP addresses only as long as necessary, typically up to 7 days, unless required by law.

9. Your Rights:

Under GDPR, you have rights including

  • Right to be informed: In addition to informing, you about processing purposes, retention periods, and to whom your data is shared, you have the right to be informed on how we collect. We collect your IP address when you visit our website.
  • Right to access: you can request a copy of your logged IP address and associated log data.
  • Right to rectification: if the logged data is inaccurate or incomplete, you can request rectification although IP address is not typically something that can be corrected in the same way as other data.
  • Right to erasure: you can request deletion of your IP address within 7 days of your last visit to this website since your address is deleted automatically after 7 days.
  • Right to object: you can object to the processing of your IP addresses.
  • Right to lodge a complaint: you can lodge a complaint to the supervisory authority if you think that your data is not processed following GDPR provisions.
